At long last, Epic's game store may be finally getting so much needed upgrades over the next few months.
Over on the r/EpicGamesPC sub on Reddit, user ImAthlon has posted some new interesting screenshots of a supposed roadmap that will include a bunch of new features coming to the both Epic Games Store and its launcher.
The roadmaps includes things that both the storefront and the launcher will be included over the next 12 months. This includes the following:
- Epic Parties
- Third-party patch notes
- Pre-registration for Free to Play games
- Storefront Rearchitecture and performance improvements
- Launcher v2 private beta
- Improved Storefront Navigation
- Cross Region gifting
- Player Profiles and more UI/UX improvements
- User Written Reviews
- Discovery improvements
- Personalization updates
- Search improvements
- Third party communities
- Notifications overhaul
- API changes.
That is just some of the many changes they plan to release in the next 12 months. The interesting bits are User Written reviews, which for a long time, Epic's Tim Sweeney has been largely against due to the toxicity of Steam user reviews have been brought up before. Now, whether you agree with that statement or not, it does appear that Epic is primed ready to implement those into your own storefront; I suspect that these reviews will be heavily moderated.

One feature that I am certainly happy to see is the arrival of profiles personalization and communities as I feel like that is a big omission from the storefronts. I love being able to go into a game page on Steam and seeing all sorts of community posts about how a particular game is and if there are any mods on PC for the game. That makes things so much different from owning a game on PC vs. a game on a console.

As of now, there's no set timelines for any of these changes to go live, but given that the Powerpoint Deck includes the "Priorities for the team over the 12th months", it seems like we should be seeing the bulk of these changes in 2026.
